Animal Island Pet Shop

These people are incredibly nice. I live in New Lenox. This means I passed up quite a few pet centers that sell fish. I did so to support a small business. I was not disappointed. They set me up with fish that they knew would get along in my 125-gallon tank. I followed their advice on introducing them to their new environment. They are all exploring and thriving right now. I'll never go anywhere else.

This place is simply amazing! It has any exotic pet you would desire! They have great customer service!! They are very informative on all the animals. Their diets, habitats, origins and how to care for your pet. They also sell tanks, enclosure, cages and more! My son loves his Bearded Dragon! I definitely RECOMMEND!! Oh and don’t forget to bring the kids along it’s like a mini field trip!!!

Jason is amazing and runs his shop 👌 The only downfall is Midlothian is about a 45min drive for me, but with feeders you get various qualities with good & REASONABLE prices !!! My boyfriend and I have been going to his brother's store out in Lockport for years but unfortunately they are closing so Jason's will be our go to spot !!

It's worth a visit just to see all the beautiful 😍 fish! Super friendly staff, great prices. Got a cool fishtank and new baby rat 🐀. His name is Jack! The staff was super helpful and so patient, letting me pick just the right one out. Love the bulk small animal food and huge live and dry bug selection! I'll definitely be back. It was worth the trip!

When I was first walked into this pet shop looking for a new pet because my tarantula died I was amazed! Fish, Lizards, Tarantulas, Snakes, and everything else I could have ever imagined! They had every supply I needed to get a crested gecko. Then that died 2 weeks later of a molting issue but then I got a leopard gecko and two days ago I came back for another leopard gecko. And those purchases are certainly purchases I don’t regret making.
