Southern Aquatics Local Fish Store

We had an awesome experience at Southern Aquatics! Their plant selection was incredibly hearty and well-maintained—everything looked vibrant and healthy. The freshwater fish selection was impressive, and we ended up getting a great mix of plants, fish, snails, and shrimp to restart two of our tanks that had gone a bit haywire. The staff was super knowledgeable and patient, walking us through the process of getting our tanks back to livable conditions. They even helped us dial in our water parameters so we weren’t unintentionally committing fishy crimes 😅. We’ll definitely be back—this is now our go-to spot for all things aquatic!

Really enjoyed the visit. They really do keep the hospitality of a local fish store with the professionalism of a big name store🤌🤌🤌 I will be coming back soon.

We love this shop! My teenager decided that he wanted a saltwater tank and they’ve been so helpful over 3 visits and an email. The 3 different staff members we’ve worked with have really focused on care for animals, helping him build his knowledge and skills, and keeping him within his budget. Also, the shop is really interesting to visit with lots of cool tanks!

I've been going since a little before Xmas when Santa got my 2 kids a 10 gallon each. Since then, the store has been SO helpful in really helping me to get these tanks running smoothly. The staff is very helpful and the quality of fish greatly surpass the big box pet stores. I've become addicted. Here is a pretty Betta I purchased this past weekend.

am new to the aquarium world but wanted to check this out and ask questions. This store is so clean and organized. I was greeted immediately upon entering and the service here is great! I at no point felt like no one was there to help me. Employees were throughout the store and eager to answer any questions. They were not pushy at all. Tanks were organized by fresh and saltwater varieties. So many beautiful fish! I was educated on caring for my aquatic animal and also maintenance. Things have certainly changed from my WalMart goldfish and glass bowl days! There was a young teenage girl who helped me and she was more mature and bright than people my age I know. Even if you are not in the market to buy a fish I would still recommend stopping in and checking it out. When I am ready to buy I will definitely be coming here!
