Owner Kevin Lari, working alongside Mark and Jeremiah, has built the kind of shop hobbyists describe as a refreshing change from the dark, cluttered fish store: bright, green, and filled with healthy aquatic plants. That plant selection is the headline draw. Aquarists across South Florida call out the best plant prices and availability they've found, and the lush, well-kept stock makes Arium a natural first stop for anyone planning a planted tank in Davie, FL. The livestock leans toward species you won't find at chain stores. Killifish, Apistogramma, nano species, and native fish reflect a genuine collector's passion, and Kevin breeds many of them in-store — which shows in how readily they settle into home tanks. Bettas have become a real standout: visitors rave about the beautiful, sustainably housed bettas for sale in Davie, FL, and the staff happily helps first-time keepers pick compatible tankmates. Nano shrimp at fair prices, driftwood and rock for hardscape, plus a saltwater section and a growing reptile area round out the mix. What keeps people coming back is the one-on-one attention. Kevin and the team take time explaining care requirements, checking water parameters, and steering newcomers toward the right fish — one customer wandered in just to browse and left with twelve new tankmates for a betta. Beyond retail, Arium offers tank maintenance and genuine consultation, often tossing in free fish food samples along the way. For Davie-area aquarists who want unusual livestock, healthy plants, and an owner who actually keeps and breeds what he sells, this aquarium store is an easy one to recommend. ## Specializations - **Water Types**: Freshwater, Saltwater - **Livestock & Products**: Live Plants, Planted Tanks, Rare Species, Bettas, Shrimp, Invertebrates - **Services**: Tank Maintenance, Consultation, Fish Breeding, Delivery - **Known For**: Premium Equipment, Knowledgeable Staff ## Highlights - Best-priced, lush aquatic plants in South Florida — a go-to for planted-tank builds - Rare freshwater livestock like killifish, Apistogramma, and native species, many bred in-store by owner Kevin Lari - Beautiful, sustainably kept bettas with staff help choosing compatible tankmates - Hands-on consultation, water-parameter checks, and tank maintenance service - Driftwood and rock hardscape plus a saltwater section and a growing reptile area ## Customer Reviews **"Lumpy Mel"** - 5/5 - 3 weeks ago > Great small pet shop, went around in circles looking for their sign but they don't have one yet just look for the door #. I’m an active aquatic hobbyist & I have been looking for a local shop for aquatic plants. I keep a few different tanks stemming from bettas to nano shrimp. This is the first aquatic shop that I have found that sells aquatic plants for amazing prices!!! This small BUISNESS has the best prices & plant availability out of any shop in southern Florida. The owner is incredibly nice and I want anybody looking to start an aquarium to start here for their fish or plant needs. I also want to state that they have some of the most beautiful bettas. The bettas are also kept in sustainable tanks!!! This is one of my biggest pet peeves when shopping the aquarium & aquatic fish stores but this store does not disappoint!!! I highly recommend this small business & they will be getting my BUISNESS for years in the future **"Juan Correa"** - 5/5 - 2 months ago > Fantastic service I came just to explore the store ended up coming home with 12 new friends for my betta. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I just got my first fish tank & Betta fish and they helped me pick out some other fish that would get along well with him. I appreciated the help and will be coming back :) **"Richard Li"** - 5/5 - 4 months ago > I was at this place today, and Kevin helped my dad and me with the plants and fish. Kevin is so helpful that my plants in my fish tank are dying. He told me the temperature was too high, and it's not a water problem, since my mom thought it was a water problem in the fish tank. So thank you so much for the help. Kevin.
