## About

Crabbi Patti's Aquarium Shop has been a fixture in Clermont, Florida for over two decades, and the store continues to evolve under new management with an expanded vision for what a local fish shop can be. The shop leans heavily toward freshwater, with a reputation for stocking both common community fish and harder-to-find species — one customer drove in specifically for Albino Geophagus and left thrilled. Parrot fish, monster fish, mudskippers, and a rotating cast of cichlids and other freshwater species fill the tanks, alongside aquatic plants and snails. The saltwater side has fluctuated over the years, with corals and marine fish available at times, though freshwater remains the stronger draw.

What brings people back — sometimes from as far as South Carolina — is the personal attention. Staff and ownership have earned a following for walking new hobbyists through their first setups, answering endless questions with patience, and even loaning transport containers to out-of-state buyers. One customer building out a 220-gallon showpiece credited the team with guiding every step of the process. The store also offers tank maintenance services and consultation for home aquariums, making it more than just a retail stop.

The shop is family-run and has a neighborhood feel, which means inventory can be inconsistent — dry goods and equipment selection has drawn some criticism, and visitors have occasionally arrived to find limited stock. Pricing opinions are split: many find it reasonable, while others feel certain items run high. The store has undergone renovations and expansions, signaling ambitions to grow its footprint and selection.

For aquarium enthusiasts in the Clermont, Davenport, and greater Central Florida area, Crabbi Patti's offers something chain pet stores can't: genuine one-on-one guidance, a curated selection of healthy freshwater fish and live plants, and a team that clearly cares about the hobby. It's the kind of shop worth checking in on as it continues to grow.

> This place and owner are awesome
I had a really Great experience there
The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful
He ensured I had proper transport containment when I didn’t as well as adequate air supply when mine failed. He didn’t hesitate to provide me with both as a loaner until my return. I live in Sc over 700 miles away. I’ve visited twice so far and planning another trip/ purchase within the new few weeks. Keep up the work Guys
Your the Best around true

> Hands down this is the best aquarium store I’ve been to in this area. I traveled 1 hr to them and I came in looking for freshwater fish and they had exactly what I was looking for. They gave me a discount without me even asking for anything. Simply offered me great customer service. I love my parrot fish. They just gained a new customer for life as I have 2 freshwater tanks at home and I love my hobby.

> Super friendly place, knowledgeable and wide selection of fishes.

> Was disappointed in the selection, a name like crabby patties thought the would have more of a salt water selection. They do seem to be undergoing an expansion...maybe after the expansion/renovation is done they will have more of a selection. If fresh water is your thing they do seem to have a selection for that.

> I go there all the time.

> Crabbi Patti used to have some of the best fish at affordable prices and the friendliest staff like Bruce, Patti and Don. Now the new owners are not friendly at all, they don’t maintain their fish tanks, all the fishes die and are way overpriced. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Save your self the money and go to world wide coral for an enjoyable experience where the employees are extremely informed on their fish and fish products.

Also don’t get any of your home tanks maintenance from them. They will not show up. They claim to have a vehicle but do not. If they do beware when they service your tank they no longer have RODI water (they never fixed the system) they are using tap water with prime in all the tanks they services (tap water contains impurities that can harm marine life)

> Crabbi Patti was my go to for the past 5+ years, always friendly faces Bruce and Don. The new owners are not friendly, there’s always dead fish in the tanks and they are severely overpriced. Go to world wide coral up by sea world now which is a much better experience all around.
