## About

Tucked away in the back of a Westminster strip, Fish Warehouse is a family-run freshwater shop that rewards those who make the effort to find it. Owned by Kiem (also known as Ken) and staffed by his mother — a sweet older woman who will literally climb up to net the fish you want — this store has built a loyal following among Orange County fish keepers through unbeatable prices and genuinely healthy stock.

The specialty here is clearly freshwater fish with an emphasis on goldfish, koi, and exotic bettas. Multiple reviewers rave about the goldfish selection, with one self-described goldfish enthusiast describing the experience of venturing deeper into the store and discovering beautiful telescopes and other quality specimens. The koi selection draws dedicated pond keepers, and the bettas are priced well below typical retail — one customer scored a betta at a price that made them grin.

Beyond the fish, Fish Warehouse carries a solid range of tanks and aquarium accessories at competitive prices. The store isn't going to win any interior design awards — reviewers note it can feel cluttered and not every tank sparkles — but the focus here is on the livestock and value, not Instagram aesthetics. Kiem is widely praised for his fish knowledge and willingness to spend time with customers discussing options. He's most fluent in Vietnamese and Cantonese, though he communicates well enough in English to guide you through your purchase.

A few practical notes: the store accepts only cash or Zelle, and the posted hours on Google have tripped up more than one visitor, so calling ahead (if you can find the number) is wise. Kiem isn't always on-site, so timing your visit when he's in will get you the best consultation experience.

For Westminster-area fishkeepers looking for affordable, healthy freshwater fish from a family that genuinely cares about the hobby, Fish Warehouse delivers where it counts — at the tank, not the storefront.

> I recently visited Fish Warehouse Fish Shop and had a mixed experience. While the store has a wide selection of fish and aquarium supplies, there were several issues that impacted my visit. The staff seemed somewhat disinterested and were not very helpful when I had questions about specific fish species and their care requirements. Additionally, some of the tanks appeared to be in need of cleaning, and a few fish looked unhealthy.

The prices were reasonable, but the overall customer service and maintenance of the store left much to be desired. I hope they can improve these areas to provide a better experience for their customers in the future.
