Extreme Marine

I absolutely love this shop!!! Slightly more expensive but quality is WORTH the price, when it comes to fresh water fish, snails, and plants (I haven’t shopped for salt water stuff, so I can’t speak on that) . The fresh water plants I’ve purchased have always thrived beautifully from here, unlike the Petco & PetSmart plants. Also, they carry a larger variety of fresh water plants and fish. Also, I would like to note that I have never bought sick fish or plants. You can tell the care they put into the living organisms. I bought many pagodas (pic attached to this post) from here, most of them are still thriving (despite it being over 9 months ago). I’m also very appreciative and relieved that they were willing to take some of my ramshorn snail population (they overtook a tank and I did not want to exterminate them). The employees here are always eager to help and answer questions you may have. Great customer service overall. I highly recommend this establishment to any freshwater tank enthusiast.

I love this shop. I would argue that it is the best aquarium store in the area. Not only is the staff incredibly knowledgeable, but it's obvious that they are passionate about aquariums and the animals in their store. After extensive research, I decided to start an aquarium, and wanting to avoid PetSmart and other corporate stores, I chose Extreme Marine to help me get started. Even after studying what I wanted, when I left I felt like I'd had a truly edifying experience. I left the store with a beautiful 29 gallon kit, all the water I'd need provided by the store, and conditioner to get my water cycle started. I later went back for plants and plant food (they have an excellent selection) and this led to a fairly in-depth discussion about my goals for my tank. Needless to say, this is my go-to place for my aquarium needs, and I'd be quite happy just popping in and perusing the aisles as well.

Great local fish shop, I drive past 3 big box pet stores on my way over to this place for a reason. Every associate is knowledgeable and helpful no matter how busy they appear. What I’m assuming is the owner spoke to me for a good while and it is clear that he loves his business and the aquarium hobby as a whole. It’s refreshing to meet someone as excited about their business as you are about purchasing their product. I’ve purchased plants, Cherry shrimp, and filter media so far. But I will be back when I build my big tank.

Such a great fish/aquarium shop! I enjoy bringing my daughter here. We’ve purchased a number of fish and some fish food. They have such a wide variety of fish here. I really think you could find any fresh water fish that you want. I’ve seen crawfish and baby lobster for tanks. You can also find shrimp and tadpoles on some occasions. The saltwater fish are beautiful. So many variety. Starfish, tanks, and plant life!
