The staff is highly knowledgeable and helpful; as an inexperienced customer, they covered all I needed to know. The prices are reasonable, the tanks are clean, and the fish are in good health. They also carry an excellent assortment of materials and plants. Unquestionably one of LA's greatest neighborhood fish store. This is my fish tank now after all their help!

I had a great experience at this place! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The fish tanks are exceptionally clean, and there’s a wide variety of fish to choose from. The overall environment is inviting and well-maintained. Customer service was excellent—they were super helpful in guiding us to pick the right fish and clearly know a lot about what they’re doing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for healthy fish and great service!

Josh and Jacob are awesome. They spent quite a bit of time with me and my wife as we researched our first big (40gallon) tank and provided sound recommendations for filters, lighting, plants, decor, and most importantly, the fish. The shop is warm, inviting, and very clean. The fish waiting for purchase are in clean tanks with plenty of filtration and look to be in great health; there's a really good selection for whatever you're looking for and they're willing and able to order a particular fish if they don't have it on hand. They have a great selection of food, water conditioner/treatment, fish medication; a good selection of decor and tanks as well. We ended up getting the tank, filter, gravel, most of our plants and all of our fish from Tokyo Aquarium. All of the fish we've gotten are alive and well, and are enjoying their new home.

They know their fish. They have an amazing variety of shrimp, nano fish, cichlids, plecos, bottom feeders, bettas...they give great advice. I've been patronizing them for a very long time and will continue to do so.

I recently came to Tokyo Aquarium and had one of the best experiences ever! They helped me with any questions and concerns I had. They didn’t seem to mind me constantly asking for help which was very awesome since I’m barely starting my new fish tank. I’m very glad this is the first fish shop I came to and would love to come again!
