Allan's Pet Center - East LA

Alan's Pet Center in East Los Angeles is a fantastic neighborhood pet store with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of pet supplies. Whether you're looking for food, toys, or accessories for your dog, cat, bird, or reptile, they have it all. The store is clean and well-organized, and you can tell they genuinely care about animals. Their customer service is top-notch, and they always take the time to answer questions or offer helpful advice. It's a great local spot for all your pet needs! They have a great supply of crickets, worms, and roaches for our family bearded dragon..

This is an old-fashioned mom&pop style pet store and take my advice, for your pet needs, keep coming there. The staff are personable, friendly, answer phone calls, they are KNOWLEDGEABLE. This pet store is the exact opposite of Petsmart or Petco. If you want to be ignored and treated like a dollar sign with a staff that knows almost nothing about the animals, it is pretty pathetic. Allan's staff is there for the customers and for the animals. They will explain to you about the animals and they try to serve the customer's needs. They treat you like a PERSON. I came there a few times looking for things that I could not get at the Petco, after Petco tried to make me fill out these "adoption forms" for these pets and I refused to do it. What a stupid gimmick. Allan's are GREAT. I went to the East LA store and they were great. I have been there a few times, and I have called them, the staff are great over the telephone too. I liked being treated like a human being. Highly recommended and I wish that there were still more pet stores like these around town, instead of the huge conglomerates.

My mom surprised us with a tortoise, and I had no idea how to care for him. Mike at Allan’s Pet Center was incredibly helpful, patient, and never pushy about sales. He shared tons of helpful advice without making me feel overwhelmed. So glad we made the drive to East LA — the prices were fair too!

Be aware this spot is Amazing went for my first time and left with two new additions to the family a beautiful bearded dragon that I named ( Pancake ) and a super fast like lightning Ribbon snake that I named (Mr Noodle ) had an amazing experience and can not wait to visit again when I get my next addition to the family if I could I would give it 9 stars and you ask why not 10 because I didn’t have enough to buy everything that I wanted but over all a big 10 starts

In my honest opinion, one of the best and my favorite pet shop! I've visited both locations and they are both top tier. I live closer to East LA location, and each time I always get what I need. The dubias & worms are perfect sized, & affordable! I shop for my bearded dragon. The staff are amazing and just incredibly knowledgeable! Great rewards system & stock! Would highly recommend anyone to come here for any needs! Much love, East LA fam !
