When I moved out here I had no idea where to find what I needed for my bearded dragon. I happened to Google and found this gem. First let me start off with how amazed I was when I first walked into the place. I must've spent a little over an hour looking at everything. Kids were in awe. The staff is very nice, Sean and Joey are always my go to for my reptile needs. Since coming here religiously it's become like a second home. We've added a banana super pastel python, a strawberry pacman frog, a translucent veiled chameleon, star burmese tortoise, albino hognose, black Mexican king snake, my albino leopard gecko and my beardy I've had for 6 years. I tell the staff all the time see you next week. Either I'm leaving with crickets, rodents, and supplements for my babies or I'm bringing another one home. Lol it got to the point where I can't bring a new baby home without my husband. The 12yr anniversary was a blast. Never been to one of those but everything was great. This is super long but just wanted to say keep up the great work we love it here!!!! Just a few pics to share

Aquarium & Reptile Depot in Citrus Heights is hands down my go-to spot! I went four times in one week getting everything I needed for my ball python, Zara. The staff was super informative and helped me each time without being pushy. I loved that I could browse at my own pace, but someone was always available when I had questions. Great experience every visit!

I’ve been visiting Aquarium and Reptile Depot for quite some time, and I’ve always been satisfied with their service and products. The staff is polite and ready to help with any questions. During my last visit, they were particularly helpful, assisting me in choosing the right items and providing advice on aquarium care. Over the years, I’ve purchased various items from this store, including aquarium plants, fish, crabs, driftwood, and other decorations. Most importantly, we bought a large aquarium with a built-in system from this store, as well as all the filters and almost everything that now fills this tank. The store offers a good selection of high-quality products for aquariums, making it a convenient one-stop shop for aquarists. I appreciate their knowledgeable approach and willingness to help customers find exactly what they need. However, it’s worth noting that this store might not be the best place to bring young children. Their policy prohibits bringing food or drinks into the store and does not allow touching the aquariums, which can be challenging with little ones. Additionally, there is no restroom available in the store. During one visit, I needed to change my baby’s diaper, and since there was no restroom, I had to do it in the car trunk in the rain. Despite this, I would recommend Aquarium and Reptile Depot to anyone looking for reliable aquarium supplies, as their product selection and customer service are excellent.

I adopted my dragon from this store in march, previously I had only purchased feed for my other dragons at home and was doing the same this day when I came across my Larry, way too gorgeous to pass up, the person helping me bragged about Larrys love of vegetables ( not true , 100 perfect refuses any and all vegetables ) im not sure why lie other than to get rid of a stubborn dragon from their store. Now today I woke up to a bombshell of a surprise! The dragon listed as male in its enclosure , that the store told me was male and sold to me as a male, has began laying eggs… We still love Larry but not the outrageous priced lies this place is selling. It would have been nice to have prepared for this properly.

The place is nice and clean. Doesn't smell at all. Great price for insect feeders. Great customer service. Employees are friendly and are full of reptile info. Great prices on reptiles and has a great variety of reptiles and aquatic life too.
